Designed for aviation applications and rugged enough for any terrain, the MWC NATO Chronograph in black PVD steel was developed to meet the demanding needs of military crews, commercial pilots, and general aviation professionals. While based on the proven specifications used by other NATO chronograph manufacturers, this model offers several thoughtful upgrades that enhance functionality, readability, and ease of use.

This model uniquely blends innovative and traditional technologies, retaining all the most popular features of our conventional G10 Luminova models while incorporating innovative GTLS self-luminescent tritium tubes. This watch's specifications conform to US Military Specification Number: US MIL-W-46374F.

These military-grade watches are the most legible in low-light or total darkness thanks to their self-activating light source, up to 100 times brighter than traditional luminescent paint. These light-emitting tubes require no battery, charging, or maintenance and have an expected lifespan of at least 10 years.

At the heart of the watch is a high-performance Swiss Ronda 5040.D movement, offering precise chronograph operation with the utmost simplicity and hassle-free operation. The case measures 45.5 mm, including the crown, creating a balance between bold presence and wearable proportions.

Ronda 5040.D Subdial Functions

Left-Hand Subdial (9 o'clock):

30-Minute Counter: This subdial is located at 9 o'clock on the watch face and records up to 30 minutes of elapsed time for the chronograph function.

Lower Subdial (6 o'clock):

Dual-Function Chronograph 1/10th-Second & 12-Hour Counter

For the first 30 seconds after starting the chronograph, this subdial functions as a 1/10th-second counter, providing highly precise timing. After 30 minutes, the same subdial transforms into an hour counter, tracking up to 12 hours of total time.

Right Subdial (3 o'clock):

Small Seconds Indicator

Displays continuous seconds for standard timekeeping. This subdial functions independently of the chronograph function.

Upper Button (Start/Stop): Starts and stops the chronograph.

Lower Button (Reset): Resets the chronograph hands to zero (after it has been stopped).

With more and more customers needing to track two time zones—whether for international operations, travel, or coordination between regions—we opted for a simplified solution instead of the traditional GMT hand.

Rather than adding mechanical complexity, we included a 12-hour bezel, which allows for easy tracking of time zone offset. This bezel, unlike the more common dive "count-up" design, allows you to read a second time zone at a glance.
