A-11 Utah Beach Sand MK2 - Higgins Blue

The A-11 Utah Beach MK2 - Higgins Blue was developed as a unique commemorative piece for the 81st anniversary of D-Day, following overwhelming demand for a reissue of this now iconic design. The highlight of this edition is the "Higgins" Blue dial, crafted from real sand collected at Utah Beach, symbolically representing the broader scope of the D-Day operation.

The cutout on the upper dial is shaped to recall the Normandy coast, home to the five original D-Day landing beaches: Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno, and Sword. Each landing site is precisely marked on the dial, offering a detailed visual tribute to the operation.

For the indexes, we took a creative approach: the upper half of the dial is perforated, allowing the sand beneath to shine through and serve as natural markers. On the lower half, a transparent layer features solid-color printed indexes. In this Higgins Blue dial variant, these printed indexes contain a generous amount of white luminescent material.

The caseback features a stylized depiction of one of the most iconic images of D-Day, a tribute to the courage and sacrifice demonstrated on June 6, 1944. Each watch is individually numbered on the caseback.

Created in collaboration with the UTAH BEACH LANDING MUSEUM, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Museum and the Veterans Associations participating in the 81st anniversary ceremony.

This watch features a 38mm stainless steel case with 10 ATM water resistance, built for durability in the field. It’s equipped with sword-style hands treated with Super-Luminova for enhanced legibility. A double-domed acrylic crystal protects the dial, while the Miyota 9039 automatic movement powers the watch with reliable precision.
