Description
This retro-style MWC military watch is inspired by classic designs used by the British Army in the 1960s. While retaining its original exterior, it features several subtle updates that enhance its suitability for modern wear. One significant upgrade is the switch from acrylic to glass crystal, which improves its water resistance and meets current standards. Additionally, the watch boasts a hybrid mechanical/quartz movement, combining the best of traditional and contemporary watchmaking technology.
This movement is powered by a battery that drives the coils and quartz oscillator, but the hands are mechanically driven and controlled. Essentially, the movement is mechanical, battery-powered and crystal-regulated, without a mainspring. This makes it the ideal choice for those who prefer the continuous seconds hand of an automatic watch, but with the hassle-free maintenance of a quartz watch.
This watch features a sturdy, brushed, military-grade 316L stainless steel case. It features a running second hand, hacking function, black dial, and luminous indexes. It also comes with two NATO straps, one gray and one black, for a versatile style choice.
