MKIII Automatic 38mm

The MWC MKIII Automatic 38mm is an automatic military watch that recreates the classic NATO-spec timepieces of the 1950s. It is for anyone after a field watch with vintage proportions but modern mechanics and crystal. This variant uses the same dial pattern as a model MWC last sold in 1979.

A NATO field watch from 1979

All MKIII automatic models are reproductions of the watches made to UK Ministry of Defence reference 6B/346 Mk XI. The style is very close to the 1950s originals, with a retro 50/60s design in brushed stainless steel, made and finished by hand in Zurich. The black dial features Super Luminova, and the 316L steel case measures 38 mm (40 mm with the crown) and 12.5 mm thick. It weighs 73 g.

Movement and performance

Accuracy is greatly improved over the originals thanks to a 24-jewel NH35A automatic movement with up to 41 hours of power reserve and a hacking function (the seconds stop while you set the time). The sapphire crystal resists impacts and scratches, the crown screws down and water resistance is 100 m.
